Maggie + Ken are a beautiful couple and their wedding day was equally beautiful. Overlooking gorgeous views of Burnaby Lake, these two pronounced their love and commitment to one another at the Burnaby Lake Rowing Pavilion in front of over 200 of their family and friends.
After the ceremony, the bride and groom partook in a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, where Maggie and Ken served tea to their parents, grandparents and other family members, to show their respect and gratitude for the years of love and care they received throughout their lives. We love a couple who incorporate any special traditions and meaning into their wedding day.
Their décor was elegant and classy. From a beautiful blue, yellow, silver and ivory floral wall backdrop to the soft, whimsical ceiling draping to the table décor with fresh orchids and blue and gold accents, this couple did not skip a beat when it came to the details.
Dinner was served buffet style, which ensured all of their wedding guests were happy and full by the end of the night. For a complete look at their reception menu, see below!
Maggie + Ken had our staff in happy tears throughout many parts of the evening. Maggie is one of the powerful voices behind Quayside Voices (a local A Capella singing group) and she showed her love for her new husband in one of the most romantic ways possible: through song. Her sweet voice serenading her new husband is a memory we’ll keep in our hearts for a long time to come.
Their wedding guests were treated to other live music performances from Quayside Voices and VanDeca throughout the evening. No wedding is complete without some great tunes and lots of dancing and these partygoers did not disappoint!
